My Experience and Values

I have over 23 years of experience in teaching and managing settings. I am a former Early Years Ofsted inspector for 6 years, so have experience of both inspecting and being inspected. I have over 12 years’ experience of governance and I also currently own my own nursery and forest school. 

I recognise the pressures settings face in an ever changing environment. I want to support settings to reflect on what they do, to maximise the outcomes for children and minimise the workload pressures staff and managers feel.

I hold a first class degree in Education, I have QTS, EYTS and Forest school level 3 leader qualifications. I have an up to date DBS check and am on the update service. I also have full personal liability insurance and am a qualified paediatric first aider with mental health awareness accreditation.

I love working with children. I work in a practical way meaning I lead by example, chatting and playing. I have a passion for storytelling and the good outdoors with risky play. I pride myself in getting to know your setting, policies, routines and importantly your children, as we work together, without fear of judgement, to improve outcomes for children and staff.
