Services Offered

What do I do ?

My service is bespoke. Meaning we reflect, evaluate and produce action plans for improvement as we go. All settings have areas to work on, but recognising the root causes of issues or knowing how to best drive outcomes for specific children or cohorts can be tricky to do on your own.

My service includes the following activities as standard as part of the subscription:

  • Face to Face – Termly ‘face to face’ meetings to observe, share good practice, lead sessions, reflect together and set tasks to drive improvements. Since COVID many external agencies have cut back on being present in settings. This means they don’t always get to know what its really like for a child in your setting. By having regular routine visits I become a familiar, friendly face for children, staff and parents so we can work together openly, honestly and effectively.
  • 24/7 contact – One of the most difficult parts of running a setting is getting support when you most need it. Knowing someone is on the other end of the phone and can talk things through to offer support is invaluable. This may be late at night when you are thinking through your day or on a weekend as you prepare for the week ahead. I am always there for a chat or a text message.
  • A ‘mock’sted inspection – using my skills as a former inspector we complete an annual inspection to recognise areas for improvement. This can be done formally or informally depending on your setting and of course is optional.
  • Advice – Do you have a child with difficult behaviour? A child with additional needs or have safeguarding concerns? – this can all be discussed confidentially to gain advice and support in how best to work with the child their family to include them effectively into your setting. Additional visits may be booked in to work directly with the child or support in completing a home visit or parent meeting. Support in referrals or completing paperwork for funding is also provided.
  • Ofsted – support in preparing for your inspection. On-site support during your inspection, including leadership and management discussions or to provide extra support on the day, or to reflect on the inspection and the outcome when the time arrives.
  • Paperwork – I will go through all your policies and procedures, key required documents and ensure the requirements of the EYFS are being met.
  • Bank worker / Supply – As a qualified professional who knows your setting, your policies, your staff and importantly your children, I offer a reduced rate as a supply staff for £150 per day to cover staff / manager illness, training or absences without affecting your ratios and quality of care (subject to availability). All documents provided for safe working practice.

What does it cost ?
